Progress

Just a quick post with a couple of recent growth progress photos. I am beginning to enter in to that "in between" phase where my hair is feeling longer but still too short to pull up or put up yet. I feel like it is looking pretty good and when I take time to "fix" it some with products and a blow dryer I get some nice body. The bangs are growing as well just not long enough to make it behind my ears yet but all in good time. I am still pretty much a minority in my community with my natural hair color but that's okay with me too. I always liked being a little different!!

  2. Wow! Your hair looks beautiful and it is definitely looking closer to a bob. Not much longer and you'll be there. I'm 1-2 months behind you in my grow out, I think. Question for you...have you gotten any trims besides trimming up the back? I went into my stylist to have her do a mullet-prevention trim. She simply cut across the bottom at my hairline. However, she urged me to come back so she could clean up and blend my hairstyle. I'm so nervous to, because I don't want to take a step back in my longing for long quest. Though, I think my hairstyle could benefit from some blending. What have you done?

  3. Hi GGMama! Thanks for stopping in! I actually did go get a nice all over trim job and my stylist was really good about not cutting too much. She just blended things and trimmed off the split ends making my hair much more manageable and nicer looking. It was getting pretty scraggly! She told me to come back in May for another trim but I may not wait that long, we'll see. I am so anxious to have one length hair again and be able to pull it up in a pony tail. Good luck with your continued growth. And trimming it should just help it look better and grow better. Split ends break, remember!!

  5. Just found your blog from GGLG, and your hair/you are beautiful! I'm gonna read back, and gain inspiration. My last hair color will be in 2 weeks; I have a big family out-of-state event to attend mid-June, and I want a lighter, softer color to transition with. You really do inspire me as I get ready to start the journey to discover my real hair color! :)

  6. Looks gorgeous. I've just embarked on my own long journey to grey. I need to read your blog with more care = any tips on good grey hair products to counter the inevitable frizz?

  8. Thanks for checking in ya'll! L'age moyen...good luck with your transition. So far I am just using a Redken product for body. I think my hair is thinning!! I don't get too much frizz so I just use conditioner every now and then. Deirdre, I just posted a new one!! Thanks for encouraging me to do it!!

  9. Sue, Your hair is beautiful! I have been trying to grow the length on mine too. However, I went to my stylist and she decided it needed "thinning" out, which I did not want. So now it is really choppy. I am thinking of just not going back until it is a lot longer.
